It is a well known fact that pets do better staying in their own home while their owners are away. Let's face it, isn't it stressful enough for them that you have gone away? Left in a kennel, dogs are subject to fears of abandonment, high stress levels from separation from its owners and the incessant barking of other dogs. Most are placed in uncomfortable pens and get little exercise. Some dogs will get ill or at the very least, not eat well.

Karen has stayed at our home for short spells and long--some as long as two months. In fact we never plan trips away until we chat with her first. I am a ranch rodeo and ranch photographer who travels alot on weekends. I couldn't do it without Karen being there to watch my two dogs while I am gone. It is important that she comes to my home as one of them, Willie, has been abandoned at least twice and gets very anxious when left at even the groomers for a few hours.While away, I can rest easy knowing that my dogs are being fed and exercised properly and that they are comfortable because they are in their own home. Willie and Muffy are always happy, of course, to see me when I return from a trip, but are never stressed and exhausted from not sleeping as happened when I boarded my pets out of the home.
